Great Canadian Food Fight

Food banks in three cities – Victoria, Regina, and Halifax – are engaged in a challenge to see who can collect the most food in 48 hours!  There are many local drop-off points including Victoria City Hall, but also at Ogden Point Pier B, Victoria Fire Hall (1234 Yates Street), Saanich Fire Halls (760 Vernon Avenue, 1900 McKenzie Avenue, 4596 Elk Lake Drive), Oak Bay Fire Hall (1703 Monterey Avenue), and Esquimalt Fire Hall (500 Park Place).  The donated food in each city will be weighed and a winner determined by total mass; the collected food will be given to the Mustard Seed Food Bank, which supports 7,200 people each month.  Let’s go Victoria and show everyone our generous spirit for this worthy cause!
